Jason T. Brown is the head of the firm Brown, LLC and a seasoned attorney who served as a Special Agent and Legal Advisor for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Mr. Brown is renowned nationwide for his legal acumen and you can read about his numerous awards and accomplishments on our Awards Page.
He is a methodical and tenacious litigator who has a keen strategic eye and sixth sense for winning complex litigation. Mr. Brown was the first attorney in the country to file a battery of cases against Merck for injuries allegedly caused from one of their products. After many years of hard-fought litigation, the case settled for $100,000,000. He has tried complex litigation, including collective and class actions to verdict in State & Federal Court and has successfully handled a wide variety of cases from catastrophic injury matters to False Claims Act (FCA), qui tams and various other high end litigation.
Righting injustices is a passion of his and he works non-stop litigating on behalf of the injured and aggrieved. During his tenure as Legal Advisor and Special Agent for the FBI he worked closely with the United States Attorney’s Office, and also worked with and provided legal guidance to members of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), United States Secret Service, Immigration & Naturalization Services, Homeland Security and countless other Federal, State, and Local Agencies.
Mr. Brown has briefed top level members of the Executive Branch on matters of national importance and due to his outstanding accomplishments as an investigator and legal advisor he was designated a Lead Agent in the most prominent investigations in the last decade including investigations into 9/11, Anthrax, and the Daniel Pearl kidnapping.
During his academic and work career he has received numerous commendations and accolades for his competency and scholarship in legal matters. He was cleared for a coveted Top-Secret Security Clearance and may be cleared to deal with case-specific sophisticated legal matters that require such a clearance.
Mr. Brown has many diversified, robust accomplishments in his career. He was a national debate club champion, former chess and tennis champion, law clerk to a Superior Court Judge, Editor-in-Chief of a law school publication, and recipient of a National Scholarship for a paper authored on the complicated subject matter of Intellectual Property.

Zijian “Coco” Guan, is a hard working litigator who enjoys fighting hard for her clients with aggressive and passionate representation. Ms. Guan primarily works on class and collective actions and mass torts and currently is in charge of the firm’s birth control litigation group, which includes: Yaz, Yasmin, Ocella, Gianvi, Nuvaring, TransVaginal Mesh (TVM), and Mirena.
Ms. Guan graduated magna cum laude from the Master of Laws program at Fordham University School of Law.
In her legal practice, Ms. Guan focuses on class actions, mass torts and employment law matters. A few representative matters include: (1) successful and ongoing representation of Plaintiffs who sustained blood clots (i.e., deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism) as a result of using birth control pills Yaz, Yasmin, Gianvi, Ocella, and Nuvaring; (2) representation of Plaintiffs who sustained spontaneous femur fractures and osteonecrosis of the jaw as a result of using Fosamax/Alendronate; (3) successful representation of Plaintiffs who were employed as Customer Service Representatives in a wage and hour class action for unpaid overtime compensation: (3) successful representation of Plaintiff who was discriminated by the former employer based on race.
Ms. Guan is a member of the New York Bar and the American Association for Justice. She is always ready for the battle. Her clients are always her number one priority.
Patrick (Pat) Almonrode has spent years litigating tirelessly to protect his clients’ rights. After a successful career as a visual artist, he attended Fordham University School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate with cum laude honors. He later clerked for Barbara S. Jones, a judge of the Federal District Court of the Southern District of New York.
Mr. Almonrode has experience in general commercial litigation, having worked at two mid-size New York firms. He also has experience in civil rights litigation: immediately before joining our firm, he served as a staff attorney at Children’s Rights, where he helped litigate several large class action lawsuits on behalf of abused and neglected foster children. He’s accustomed to fighting – and winning – for seemingly powerless clients, against seemingly overwhelming odds.
Mr. Almonrode is a member of the New York Bar and the Federal District Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the District of Colorado. He is also a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and the New York County Lawyers Association. Pat focuses on wage and hour class and collective actions, and on “whistleblower” lawsuits on behalf of individuals reporting fraud on the government. He approaches all of his cases – big and small – with diligence, care, and a passion for justice.
Nicholas Conlon represents employees in their ongoing battle to secure a fair day’s pay for a fair day’s work. After graduating from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in June 2012 and volunteering for the New Jersey Attorney General, Mr. Conlon joined JTB Law Group as an Associate in 2014. Thus far Mr. Conlon has litigated countless minimum wage and overtime claims and has obtained fair, hard-fought settlements for his clients. He is currently counsel of record for several nationwide wage-and-hour collective actions and regularly appears in court. But what he still finds most rewarding is listening to clients share their stories. He is waiting to hear yours.
Benjamin Lin is Columbia Law School graduate who is focused on representing plaintiffs in employment matters and whistleblower litigation, also known as qui tam litigation. The employment matters include wage and hour litigation such as FLSA and overtime rights and the qui tam matters address people defrauding the government, as well as SEC and IRS whistleblowers. Diligent and relentless, he works hard to promptly place matters into Court in the best possible light. He also enjoys puppies and long walks.
Lotus Cannon works on employments and commercial matters, individually and in the class and collective action context, as well as qui tam “whistleblower” lawsuits on behalf of courageous individuals reporting fraud against the government. After graduating from Harvard University, Lotus attended Columbia Law School where she earned her Juris Doctorate. Lotus is fluent in English and Russian. She has a passion for protecting the rights of individuals which manifests in the dedication she has to the people she represents.
Lotus also enjoys competitive Latin ballroom dancing and is a certified Zumba instructor.
Tony Teng is a tireless worker who has dedicated his life and career to fight for people’s rights. Mr. Teng obtained his Masters of Law degree from American University Washington College of Law and he currently heads the firm international and commercial litigation group.
Mr. Teng has experience in diverse fields of civil litigation including labor and employment, consumer fraud, personal injury, products liability and commercial litigation. He has extensive involvement in complex mass tort pharmaceutical lawsuits and class/collective action lawsuit.
Tony works day and night to make sure that your case is handled with detail and care. In the past Mr. Teng has played an integral role in wage and hour class and collective actions, mass torts and various other simple and complex litigation.
Alan Antonucci, Of-Counsel, has actively practiced law for over 40 years. He has successfully tried many cases and received many accolades during his years of practice. He successfully litigated and appealed matters with the distinguished F. L. Bailey.
He has extensive experience in Commercial & Civil litigation, Criminal defense, Condominium Law, Civil rights, Employment Discrimination and Immigration/Naturalization. He has also successfully litigated matters involving Trademark/Copyright, Unfair Trade practices, Oppression of Minority Shareholders, Labor, Variances, Transactional Business and Real Estate disputes.
He served as an Adjunct Professor at the State University at Montclair lecturing on business law topics. He has represented clients with positive results in a number of unusual high profile cases. For example, he represented a National Language School securing a “not guilty” verdict on a 58 count Federal Indictment after 3 months of trial; successfully defended the CEO of a large corporation in an FTC civil suit and criminal Federal Indictments for Mail and Wire Fraud, Securities Fraud, and other charges; successfully represented the person indicted for alleged participation in an Organized Crime Conspiracy to establish a drug network in New Jersey; defeated a Variance application by a large influential developer for a 60 million dollar project that threatened to block his condo client’s views of NYC; negotiated the resolution of Labor Disputes involving the ILGW, the Teamsters and others.
His open door policy and extensive experience, particularly in Immigration, Criminal Law, Civil Rights and Litigation make him a valuable resource for complicated cases in these areas.
Mr. Antonucci is a Member of the New Jersey Bar; Federal District Court for the District of New Jersey; Third Circuit Court of Appeals; Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, New Orleans, LA and the Supreme Court of the United States. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.
Helen Cheng holds the Chartered Financial Analyst ® designation, a prestigious professional designation for the top tier of financial professionals which takes many years of practicing experience and often four to seven years of independent study to earn. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Holyoke College and an advanced Master of Arts from Duke University in Finance and Economics.
She possesses more than a decade of experience working for major Wall Street financial firms specializing in financial engineering and risk management. Ms. Cheng was Director of Risk Management for a major financial company with a global presence and thousands of employees.
She assists with the formulation of accurate damage models, financial landscaping of parties and assessing other fiscal matters attendant to the litigation.
Sarah Koyanagi is an Operations Manager and the Coordinator for the firm’s Implementation, Infrastructure & Business Development Committees. Sarah trains, manages, and oversees a great team of administrative staff to ensure efficiency in daily operations. Sarah constantly creates and implements guidelines and procedures which ensure continuous productivity in the firm. In addition to her managerial and implementation role, Sarah creatively works as the coordinator of the business development and infrastructure team and proposes new ideas in multiple areas of the firm, including, but not limited to, technology, procedural, daily operations, project management, advertising, research & development, and overall quality control.
In addition to her managerial and business developmental role, Sarah has part of her foot in the Mass-tort Department where she works on pharmaceutical cases, such as IVC Filter injuries, Xarelto bleeding related injuries, ovarian cancer from talcum powder, and many others.
Sarah is a dedicated, hardworking, and passionate member who shares our firm’s overall passion and values to fights for the rights of our clients. In addition to handling the day-to-day operations of the firm, Sarah also enjoys speaking with people about their cases and works hard to ensure that they have a voice. Sarah shares the firm’s passion for justice and we are glad to have her as part of our Law Group family.

Angiee Rosario is a Legal Administrative Assistant for the Qui Tam Department and Team Lead for Mass Tort Department, overseeing and directly working on matters such as Xarelto, IVC, Talcum Powder/Ovarian Cancer, and Hernia Mesh . Angiee also assists with other important matters as well and is very client oriented. She graduated from New Jersey City University, with a B.S. in Criminal Justice and a Pre-Law minor . She completed her education with the law at the graduate level at John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a M.A. in International Crime & Justice and holds an advanced certificate in Transnational Organized Crime Studies. She is fluent in English and Spanish. She is organized and motivated in helping people obtain justice.
Vanessa Reyes is a Legal Assistant and Intake Specialist for our firm. She assists with many important tasks such as the development of cases for both the Mass Tort and Wage and Hour departments. Her primary focus at the firm is to gather and evaluate all necessary records along with team administrators to analyze the viability of client’s potential legal claims. She is fluent in English and Spanish and enjoys speaking with clients about their cases and making sure they receive the attention they deserve. She is passionate and devoted to preserve the rights for clients who were wrongfully treated.
Vanessa enjoys daily exercise by participating in Zumba classes and working out on her spare time. She also loves spending time outdoors with her family.
Sue Colon is an Administrative Assistant and Intake Specialist at our Law Group for the Mass Tort Department. She primarily focuses on the development of cases in the Mass Tort Department. She maintains the integrity in her administrative duties as well as supporting operational tasks for the firm. She enjoys assisting clients in the initial steps of securing legal representation. She takes pride in guiding clients she aides through the often daunting legal process.
Osmara Suazo is a Legal Administrative Assistant and Intake Specialist for the Wage and Hour Department. She graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in International Studies. Her passion for helping others, has led her to pursue a career in law, with the future goal of becoming an Attorney. She is fully committed in assuring that clients receive the best possible assistance and acquired the justice they deserve. Osmara enjoys playing soccer and reading on her downtime.
Caitlin Keating works as a Legal Administrative Assistant for the Wage and Hour Department. She graduated from Rutgers University – School of Criminal Justice with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and minor in Art History. She is greatly invested in staying informed and is very much a people-person; diligent in her approach in evaluating an individual’s circumstance and passionate about ensuring they receive what is due.
During her free time she enjoys reading biographies, traveling, and photography; she is currently working on earning her black belt in Taekwondo.
Wascar Guerrero is a Legal Administrative Assistant for the Wage & Hour Department. He graduated from New Jersey City University with a B.S. in National Security Studies. He also has a legal background in matters such as Personal Injury and Civil Rights. Wascar enjoys a calm, helpful and supportive demeanor and takes pride in handling the needs of the client, and evidences extreme patience and persistence in explaining the legal process. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
