A security guard who provides security at the General Lucius D. Clay National Guard Center in Cobb County, Georgia is seeking compensation and damages from her employer, Dynamic Security Inc., over unpaid overtime wages. The complaint alleged that the Defendant employs security guards to provide armed security at the General Lucius D. Clay National Guard Center and that it violated the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”).
The FLSA complaint was filed in the Northern District of Georgia alleging Defendant did not pay her for all of the hours she worked, depriving her of overtime pay at the legally prescribed rate of 1.5 times her regular rate of pay for hours over forty. The case is asking for collective action treatment under the FLSA 216(b) mechanism.
The Plaintiff requested the Federal District Court in the Northern District of Georgia direct Defendant to pay security guards their unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, and reasonable attorney’s fees and costs.
