The Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ are an objective indicator of a lawyer’s high ethical standards and professional ability, generated from evaluations of lawyers by other members of the bar and the judiciary in the United States and Canada. Legal Ability ratings are based on performance in various key areas, rated on a scale of 1 to 5 (with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest). AV Preeminent® (4.5-5.0) is a significant rating accomplishment – a testament to the fact that a lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence.

The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers:

The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 is an invitation-only organization composed of the premier trial lawyers from each state or region who meet stringent qualifications as civil plaintiff and/or criminal defense trial lawyers. Selection is based on a thorough multi-phase objective and uniformly applied process which includes peer nominations combined with third-party research. Membership is extended only to the select few of the most qualified attorneys from each state or region who demonstrate superior qualifications of leadership, reputation, influence, stature and public profile measured by objective and uniformly applied standards in compliance with state bar and national Rule 4-7. This award is given to 100 lawyers per state, so there may be as many as 5,000 lawyers nationwide who have been conferred this award. Additionally, if qualified, there is a fee of $300 that is paid to the National Trial Lawyers. The fees are considered administrative processing fees and charges for the title and included charges for frames and plaques.

National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys Top 10 Attorney Award:

The NAOPIA’s primary goal is to recognize the top 10 personal injury attorneys in each state for their hard work. Out of millions of attorneys nationwide, fifty nominated attorneys are chosen to advance to the final selection stage by a Selection Committee, and then the Board of Governors officially selects the TOP 10. Additionally, if qualified, there is a fee of $350 that is paid to the National Trial Lawyers. The fees are considered administrative processing fees and charges for the title and included charges for frames and plaques.
